According to the Mirror , Newcastle are in talks to sign Timo Werner from Chelsea in a loan deal.
Chelsea are willing to do business with Newcastle about Werner but player’s wages which appear to be close to £250k-a-week could prove to be a problem.
Newcastle believe there is optimism and a deal could be reached before the start of new season.
The Magpies are in need for another attacker to help Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin and Howe has set his sights on Werner as the player who ticks all the boxes.
Newcastle failed to complete the signing of youngster Hugo Ekitike who then joined PSG and have also expressed interest in Armando Broja, but Tuchel looks adamant to keep the Albanian star in the team for the start of new season.
Chelsea will also look to include a clause on Werner’s loan move which makes his deal permanent at the end of season.
